Dabbling with Paint

Dabbling with paint I

I call it so at times

Yes, I find it unlocks the kiddish attitude inside

There it resides wide-eyed rearing, roaring to find

Yes, in my mind there is this energy guide.

A spirit once summoned when we were little people

Fearless, care free and gleeful

Observant, experimental and still more peaceful

Flirting with creativity where learning is the only vehicle.

A daub here a little daub there
A splash here a big splash there
I dabble in it, Wallow in it
No sorrow in it
A flick here a little flick there
A scrape here a big scrape there
I dabble in it, Model in it
No hollow nor horror in it

I am grateful to know paint

So full of great when I dabble with it and abnormal when I ain’t

No mis-paints nor complaints

In these periods of fun and unrestraint.

I choose to find it empowering

Full of hues even poetic sounding

It never brings lows in, rather uplifting

As if I were tip toeing the top of mountains.

A daub here a little daub there
A splash here a big splash there
I dabble in it, Wallow in it
No sorrow in it
A flick here a little flick there
A scrape here a big scrape there
I dabble in it, model in it
No hollow nor horror in it

Still, there are other findings

Special shoes to favorite caps and tams, maybe spellbinding

To combat the splash backs or ons there are overalls providing

It’s not too confining nor undermining for one’s shining.

An expressive journey

Not always pearly but it keeps I thirsty

Rooted firmly, I am truly worthy

Dabbling with paint to my hearts consent is truly worth it.

A daub here a little daub there
A splash here a big splash there
I dabble in it, Wallow in it
No sorrow in it
A flick here a little flick there
A scrape here a big scrape there
I dabble in it, model in it
No hollow nor horror in it
